Our ambition is to become the most sustainable listed global fashion brand on the planet by 2030
Our goals continue to focus on producing the most sustainable product, whilst protecting our planet and supporting our people in all that we do. We will do the right thing and leave a positive environmental legacy.
- Organic and Sustainable – Our cotton is 100% organic by 2025 and we use recycled and low impact materials at scale, across our range.
- Net Zero – Carbon Emissions across our own sites and logistics operations will be net zero by 2030 and we will always challenge ourselves and partners to minimise environmental footprint.
- Zero Waste; Lower Impact – We only use packaging where necessary; we always opt for the lowest impact when used ensuring 100% is reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025.
- Respect and Dignity – We partner with market leading suppliers to produce our product in automated and sustainable factories, where people are treated with Respect and Dignity.
Accelerating our goals means that our commitments align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) deadline for 2030 and builds our accountability as global citizens to deliver against more challenging targets. Our sustainability goals are future facing and complement our continual core ethical and environmental programmes that ensure we meet our everyday responsibilities in our own business operations and our supply chain.

Organic cotton.
Cotton remains the single largest raw material we use, representing 53% of the total volume of raw materials we buy annually. By 2025, 100% of Superdry cotton will be organic cotton. In 2020, we reached 19% by converting all Underwear, Socks, Orange Label T Shirts, Polos and Sleepwear to organic.

Vegan.
Beyond the look, there’s an ethos.
At Superdry we are on a journey of sustainability and environmental care.
From AW20 we launched an innovative range of Vegan trainers. This collection represents style with a conscience and is registered with The Vegan Society.

Recycled fill.
Starting with our Padded Jackets in 2020, by 2025, all poly-padding in Superdry Outerwear will be made from recycled bottles. This saves 40% of energy during production and diverts up to 30 million plastic bottles from the oceans and landfill per year.

Net zero by 2030.
We only use renewable energy in our Offices and Stores. By 2030, we plan to use 100% renewable electricity across our Supply Chain too.

Ethical trading.
We work with our suppliers, workers, local and international organisations with collective aim to respect and promote human rights in line our Code of Practice, and to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Respect. Dignity. Equality.
We work closely with our factories to ensure our products are made in fair and safe conditions.
Between 2018 and 2020, we established our first Respect Programme in six factories across India.
Over the past 2 years, in partnership with Change Alliance, over 6,000 workers have collaborated to build a culture of Respect in their factories, participating in regular workshops to raise awareness of their rights and responsibilities.

Sustainability warriors.
In 2020, we created a community of Sustainability Warriors - a group of like-minded Superdry people who share a passion for sustainability. This year, we’ll be engaging this community through a series of initiatives, with the aim of supporting positive environmental transformation across our brand.
